Star Wars fans are soon going to be able to experience something never before thought possible. Being able to take the controls of the iconic Millennium Falcon!
On Saturday during the D23 Expo 2015 in California Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the future creation of two Star Wars lands, one to be created at California’s Disneyland and the other to be created at Florida’s Disney World. The lands, which will be the largest single themed land expansion in Disney history, will both be a whopping 14-acres large.
“I am thrilled to announce the next chapter in the long and exciting history between Disney Parks and Star Wars,” Iger said. “We are creating a jaw-dropping new world that represents our largest single themed land expansion ever. These new lands at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will transport guests to a whole new Star Wars planet, including an epic Star Wars adventure that puts you in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.”
Both of these new Star War lands will have 2 main attractions including the ability to fly the famed Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission and also Star Wars adventure that put’s guests in a “climactic battle.”

Although plans and concept images were shared, an estimated time of completion for both of these expansions has yet to be announced.
